How do you measure a door seal?

To measure a door seal correctly, you need a tape measure or folding rule. Follow these steps to obtain accurate measurements:

1. Open the door fully and make sure it sits firmly in its frame.

2. Measure the width of the door opening. Place the tape measure at the outer edge of the door leaf and pull it to the opposite edge. Note the measurement in millimeters.

3. Measure the height of the door opening. Place the tape measure at the top edge of the door leaf and pull it to the floor. Note this measurement in millimeters as well.

4. Determine the thickness of the door seal. Use a ruler or caliper and measure the thickness of the old door seal or the seal groove in the door frame. Note this measurement in millimeters as well.

5. Take any unevenness or slopes in the door frame into account. Measure at different points to ensure you capture the greatest width and height.

6. Repeat the measurements for each door on which you want to install a door seal.

By following these steps and taking accurate measurements, you can ensure that you buy the correct door seal for your door and achieve an effective seal.
