How do I correctly install wood connectors?

The installation of wood connectors is a relatively simple process. However, it requires you to follow certain steps very carefully to ensure that you achieve the best possible results.

The first step is to position and align the two pieces of wood you want to join precisely. They must support each other and remain in the correct position while you make the connection.

Markers or tape are useful for showing where the connector should be placed.

• Mark the exact position on both pieces of wood.
• Place the wood connector at the marked spot on the first piece of wood and hold it firmly in place.
• Use a cordless screwdriver/drill and the screws supplied with the connector to secure it. It is important that the screws hold the connector properly and penetrate firmly into the wood. Repeat this process for the other piece of wood.
