How do I adjust lift-up hinges?

Lift-up hinges allow doors or flap elements to rotate around a vertical axis. They can be found in many places in our home, such as kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Adjusting lift-up hinges can be easy if you follow the steps below.

1. Adjusting the hinge depth:

  • Hinge depth refers to the distance between the door and the cabinet frame. This can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the recessed screw on your lift-up hinge.

2. Adjusting the horizontal position:

  • Change the horizontal position of the door by turning the screw on the hinge side to the right or left. Turning it clockwise moves the door toward the frame, while turning it counterclockwise moves it away.

3. Adjusting the vertical position:

  • To adjust the vertical position of your door, loosen the two upper screws, raise or lower the door to the desired height, and tighten the screws again.

Don’t forget to close your door after each adjustment and check whether it is properly aligned. With a little patience and finesse, you can perfectly adjust your lift-up hinges.
